About the role
Our client, a premier recruitment consultancy, is looking for a high-caliber Senior Recruitment Consultant specializing in the IT and Technology sector to join their team in Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG . This role is critical for identifying and placing top IT and Tech talent with leading companies in the region and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technology recruitment, a strong understanding of the IT landscape, and exceptional relationship-building skills. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for technology roles, from understanding client needs and market trends to sourcing, screening, and closing candidates.
Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with IT hiring managers and executives, understanding their technical requirements and company culture. You will develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract skilled IT professionals, including developers, engineers, project managers, cybersecurity experts, and data scientists. Conducting thorough technical screenings and behavioral interviews to assess candidate suitability is crucial. You will be responsible for managing candidate pipelines, providing market insights, and advising clients on talent acquisition strategies within the competitive tech market. This hybrid role requires regular interaction with clients and team members in our Port Harcourt office for strategy discussions and candidate assessments, with flexibility for remote work to manage candidate outreach and follow-ups.
We seek a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in IT recruitment, preferably within a fast-paced agency environment. A deep understanding of various IT technologies, programming languages, and industry trends is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills are required to effectively engage with both clients and candidates. Proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other sourcing tools is mandatory. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field is preferred. You should possess a strong business acumen, a results-driven attitude, and the ability to thrive in a demanding, target-oriented role. The capacity to build trust and rapport quickly with stakeholders at all levels is vital. This hybrid position requires consistent presence in the Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG office for team collaboration and client engagement, complemented by remote flexibility for focused candidate sourcing and administrative tasks.
