About the role
A leading recruitment consultancy in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA, is seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Senior Recruitment Consultant specializing in the Technology sector. This role is perfect for an experienced recruiter who is passionate about connecting top tech talent with innovative companies. You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and vetting candidates to negotiating offers and building strong client relationships. This position requires a deep understanding of the tech industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technology roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates.
- Develop and execute effective candidate sourcing strategies using various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and professional databases.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including behavioral and technical interviews, to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified technology candidates across various specializations (e.g., software development, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing).
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their hiring needs and providing expert recruitment advice.
- Negotiate employment offers and facilitate the onboarding process for placed candidates.
- Achieve and exceed personal and team recruitment targets and KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date with technology industry trends, market intelligence, and salary benchmarks.
- Participate in business development activities to identify and secure new client opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and client records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Provide market feedback and insights to clients on talent availability and hiring strategies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and ethical recruitment practices.
- Continuously enhance personal and team recruitment skills through training and development.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events and networking functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, with a strong focus on the technology sector.
- Demonstrated success in placing candidates in challenging tech roles.
- Excellent understanding of the technology landscape and common tech roles/skills.
- Proficiency in using recruitment tools, ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing platforms.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with both clients and candidates.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to thrive in a target-driven environment.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management is highly desirable.
