Senior Remote Cybersecurity Threat Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Remote Cybersecurity Threat Analyst to join their advanced security operations center. This fully remote position is integral to protecting the organization's digital infrastructure by identifying, analyzing, and responding to sophisticated cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, conducting in-depth threat intelligence gathering, and developing actionable insights to fortify our defenses. This role requires a deep understanding of threat actor methodologies, attack vectors, and advanced security technologies. Responsibilities: Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools for potential threats. Analyze security alerts and logs to identify and validate cyber threats. Conduct comprehensive threat intelligence gathering and analysis, staying informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and maintain threat models and profiles of common attack vectors. Investigate security incidents, providing detailed analysis and root cause identification. Formulate and recommend security measures to effectively mitigate identified threats. Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and eradicate threats. Create and deliver reports on threat landscapes, incident findings, and security posture. Develop and refine detection rules and signatures to enhance threat detection capabilities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of security monitoring and incident response processes. This is a fully remote role, requiring exceptional analytical skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, with significant experience in threat analysis and incident response.
