Senior Remote Project Manager (Technology)

Our client, a global leader in developing innovative software solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Remote Project Manager to lead critical technology initiatives. This role is fully remote, allowing you to manage complex projects from anywhere while driving the successful delivery of cutting-edge products. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes defining project scope, managing resources, mitigating risks, and fostering effective communication among cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, QA, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership qualities, a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, and extensive experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). As a remote-first organization, you must be a highly organized, proactive communicator, adept at virtual collaboration and empowering distributed teams.

Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technology projects from initiation to closure. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among geographically dispersed project teams and stakeholders. Oversee the work of project team members, providing guidance and motivation. Ensure adherence to project management best practices and organizational standards. Track project progress, prepare regular status reports, and present findings to senior leadership. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations as required. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement in project delivery. Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP/Agile certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on software development and technology projects. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple, concurrent projects with large budgets and cross-functional teams. Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana). Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and common development practices. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, especially in a remote context. Proven ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing projects involving cloud technologies, AI/ML, or data analytics is a strong asset.
