Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Resident Engineer / Planning Engineer, to be involved in a sought-after project in Zambia.

Requirements

• +20 years experience with vast experience in hydropower and dam projects
• BSc. / B.Eng. in Civil Engineering or higher
• Prior experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Chief RE
• Instruct the contractor about planning aspects of the work on site
• Assist with verifying the inclusion of all dam safety monitoring aspects in the planning process
• Revise the contractor's planning and preparation of schedules for control of the site activities
• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans
• Evaluate compliance with the work program on site
• Carry out and make weekly update of the holistic work program of the project
• Report to the Project Service Manager
• Collect weekly schedule reports
• Prepare monthly summary
• Preparation of payment certificates and liaise with Resident QS
