Senior Risk Auditor

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Risk Auditor plays a critical role in supporting this commitment by identifying, assessing, and managing operational risks while strengthening internal controls, compliance, and business resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Risk & Audit

• Identify areas of operational risk and conduct risk‑based reviews to understand and mitigate exposure
• Plan, execute, conclude, and report on operational risk reviews in line with agreed standards and timelines
• Perform trend analysis to identify inherent and emerging risks
• Conduct flash audits of high‑risk areas and ad‑hoc risk reviews
• Monitor dashboards to identify and escalate emerging risks
• Follow up on audit findings and action items to ensure timely closure

Error & Omission (E&O) Management

• Administer and manage the E&O process across the business
• Maintain accurate E&O registers and trackers
• Support business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and closure of E&O cases
• Monitor outstanding E&Os and enforce accountability against agreed deadlines

Governance, Compliance & Regulatory Support

• Coordinate Group Internal Audit findings, including obtaining management responses
• Track and follow up on Compliance and External Audit findings (including ISAE 3402)
• Maintain all audit, compliance, and external audit trackers
• Coordinate and respond to FSCA investigations across CSBO, Operations, Administration, and other business areas as required

Projects & Stakeholder Engagement

• Participate in and support projects aimed at improving risk management, controls, and operational efficiencies
• Assist with client‑facing presentations and stakeholder engagements as required

Key Performance Areas

• Risk reviews completed within agreed deadlines and quality standards
• Effective tracking and closure of audit findings and E&O cases
• Accurate and up‑to‑date reporting of risk, audit, and compliance matters
• Meaningful contribution to projects that enhance control effectiveness and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor Honours Degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Risk Methodology, Auditing, or Accounting
• Recommended: BCom Honours in Internal Auditing
