Ruby on Rails Fullstack Engineer is required by a tech company based in New York who is revolutionizing cybersecurity compliance with AI automation, pivoting into pure cybersecurity tooling for US defense contractors. The successful software engineer will need to be a product-focused generalist and a hacker at heart who can move quickly and take ownership without a ton of oversight. You will be instrumental in building out our new cybersecurity tooling for the United States federal defense industrial base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a top-tier university.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails preferred, but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles
• Background in startup environments, possibly as a founder or early employee, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and versatility is highly valued.

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with Product Management, Design, and other Engineering stakeholders to uphold a high quality standard in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Develop full stack features that address complex technical challenges, integrating both frontend and backend aspects to enhance user experience and system reliability.
• Engage in all phases of project lifecycle, from planning to deployment, including code reviews and performance optimization.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, helping them advance their skills and careers.
