Account Executive (Senior | Intermediate | Junior)

We are seeking dynamic, results-driven Account Executives across Senior, Intermediate, and Junior levels to join our growing team. This role is ideal for commercially astute individuals who are passionate about sales, client engagement, and delivering value-driven fintech solutions in a high-performance environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new business, managing and growing a portfolio of clients, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strong balance between new business development (“hunter”) and account management (“farmer”), combined with commercial acumen and a customer-centric approach. You will take full ownership of your portfolio, ensure revenue growth, client retention, and long-term profitability while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver seamless client solutions.

Role Split: 50% New Business Development | 50% Account Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within assigned markets
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, including C-suite stakeholders
  • Drive acquisition and expansion of high-value corporate and enterprise merchants
  • Take full ownership of portfolio revenue, including retention, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities
  • Structure, negotiate, and close complex, multi-product fintech deals
  • Present and position solutions aligned to client needs and business objectives
  • Identify cross-pollination opportunities across the broader product suite
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure effective deal execution and service delivery

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience:

  • Junior: 1–2 years’ experience in sales or account management
  • Intermediate: 3–5 years’ experience with a proven track record in sales performance
  • Senior: 5+ years’ experience managing key accounts and driving strategic revenue growth

Core Competencies:

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with solution-based selling capability
  • Demonstrated ability to close and scale enterprise or large corporate accounts
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage senior decision-makers
  • Data-driven and performance-oriented mindset
  • Ability to operate autonomously within a defined territory
  • Strong balance between new business development and account management
  • Experience selling across a multi-product portfolio
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and pipeline management

Additional Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce merchant sales (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
