Senior SAP Project Manager – S/4HANA RISE Migration

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP Project Manager to lead a complex S/4HANA migration initiative under the RISE with SAP program. This high-visibility role requires hands-on leadership of an enterprise-wide SAP transformation effort. The successful candidate will manage planning, execution, and delivery of a cloud-based SAP S/4HANA landscape, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and technical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SAP S/4HANA RISE migration projects, delivering on time, within scope, and budget.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, risk logs, and progress reports.
• Act as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, SAP RISE teams, system integrators, and internal teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (technical, functional, BASIS, security, data, infrastructure).
• Manage migration from ECC to S/4HANA under the RISE model, including SAP BTP and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure project governance, change control, and stakeholder communication processes are defined and followed.
• Facilitate business process reviews and support change management with functional leads.
• Lead steering committee meetings, executive briefings, and status updates.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contracts and delivery milestones.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP project management experience, with at least 3 years leading SAP S/4HANA programs.
• Proven experience managing RISE with SAP migrations, including coordination with SAP’s RISE team.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA capabilities, migration paths (greenfield, brownfield, selective data transition), and SAP Activate methodology.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
• Experience managing cloud transitions (SAP-hosted or hyperscaler environments).
• Ability to lead cross-functional global teams in hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, Cloud Connector).
• SAP certifications (Activate, S/4HANA, BTP).
• Experience with RISE with SAP programs and S/4HANA transformations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certifications.
