IT Security Manager - SOC focused

Overview

A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking a Senior IT Security Manager to join its growing cyber security function during a large-scale enterprise transformation programme. This is a strategic and hands-on position focused on strengthening and modernising the organisation’s security infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on SOC engineering, security architecture, cyber defence, and operational security capabilities.

This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in shaping the future security landscape of a highly recognised financial institution investing heavily across cloud, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the development, enhancement, and execution of the organisation’s IT Security Programme
• Lead the strategic planning and design of security architecture and infrastructure
• Build and enhance SOC engineering and cyber defence capabilities
• Manage and improve SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response processes
• Conduct security audits and penetration testing activities, implementing technical and organisational improvements where required
• Develop, maintain, and improve security policies, controls, and operational procedures
• Provide security guidance to architecture, engineering, and software development teams
• Work closely with senior IT leadership on cyber risk management and security strategy
• Manage and coordinate relevant third-party security providers and vendors
• Support broader infrastructure and security operations initiatives across the organisation
