Your Role
The Security Engineering Team focuses on hardening security-critical components in the areas of e-Health, Automotive, IoT, Mobile, and the public sector. As a Senior Security Engineer (m/f/d), you will significantly contribute to strengthening cybersecurity in our clients' products and projects. This includes working on hardening electronic ID documents, mobile phones, secure key storage, or control units.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Analysis and development of security requirements for various product types and embedded systems – including Secure Elements and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) – in the fields of embedded, mobile, and cloud security.
- Design of security architectures in close collaboration with product architects, considering the impact of security measures on functionality and performance.
- Consulting on security certifications (e.g., according to Common Criteria or comparable standards) and support in planning and conducting evaluations.
- Integration of cybersecurity aspects into development processes: You will guide our clients in establishing secure development, testing, and deployment cycles, adhering to relevant standards such as ISO 15408, ISO 27001, ISO 21434, or IEC 62443.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in "Security Engineering"
- A preference for conceptual work to solve complex problems at a strategic level
- Analytical mindset, thorough working method, and teamwork skills
- Experience in the security evaluation and certification of IT products (according to Common Criteria, FIPS, or other security certification standards)
- Experience in information security management and IT network security
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Advantageous Skills
- Experience in security analysis and hardening of high-security embedded systems
- General knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols
- Practical experience in software development
- Basic knowledge of network communication and its protocols (e.g., TLS)
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, YouTrack)
