This position is part of the Connected Products organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences.
About The Team
The Connected Products team focuses on the development, installation, and ongoing support of innovative embedded devices and RF/IoT applications, as well as several camera-based technologies such as computer vision and facial recognition.
What You'll Do
- Implement and support advanced sensor systems integrating multiple technologies and protocols.
- Troubleshoot and optimize diverse electrical, mechanical, and sensor systems.
- Configure and calibrate hardware parameters for optimal performance.
- Demonstrate strong systems administration skills in Linux and Windows while being adaptable with bespoke device platforms.
- Be on-call for emergencies, addressing system failures or malfunctions outside regular hours.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation and training materials for service technicians.
- Regularly assess systems for maintenance requirements and calibration needs.
- Maintain cybersecurity protocols and manage vulnerabilities within the department.
- Keep up with emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
- Proficient in agile environments.
- Solid grasp of observability principles and corresponding tools.
- Experience with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability to collaborate on building reliable and scalable enterprise systems.
- Skilled in identifying root causes in large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security.
- Proven experience leading technical projects and ensuring effective delivery.
- Collaboration with Security Operations teams to develop secure solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities across systems, networks, and code.
- Knowledgeable and proactive regarding RF and connected devices, with a commitment to continuous learning and development in data engineering tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in distributed systems.
- Expertise in Bluetooth and NFC technologies.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and cybersecurity applications like Wiz.io.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Education
- Advanced degree in a related field.
