Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our impactful DevSecOps team, which consists of 8 dedicated engineers. This team's primary focus is to maintain the national operations of our Vehicle Intelligence deployments, including our VehicleManager portfolio, which operates 24/7 in the cloud. Your role will encompass deployment architecture, continuous software delivery, monitoring, automation, and overall system health improvement.
Your expertise will be vital to leading our next-generation observability strategy. We seek a candidate with extensive experience across the entire observability stack, utilizing metrics, logs, and distributed traces to proactively ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
Success in your first year will be measured by your contributions to the stability and reliability of our applications. You should excel in diagnosing intricate, multi-service production issues by employing APM tools, and translating your in-depth technical analyses into actionable insights for our engineering and product teams.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzing end-user experience, system performance, and uptime.
- Driving the design, deployment, and enhancement of core Observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to guarantee comprehensive system insight.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance.
- Creating workflow automation to improve efficiency.
- Developing and managing automated testing processes.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to security compliance; working visa applications will not be accepted.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cloud operations and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Thorough understanding of Observability and Application Performance Management.
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, microservices, workflows, and Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET and C#.
- Expertise in cloud software delivery pipelines, particularly with GitHub.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced and dynamic environments, both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to a varied audience.
Target Base Salary Range:
$100,000 USD - $115,000 USD.
This salary range reflects our commitment to transparency and equity. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications, skills, and experience.
