About

As a Senior in our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will shape the further development of the team and our products – not only operationally, but above all conceptually and solution-oriented. You will combine deep technical know-how with a clear focus on stable, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the technical direction and further development of SRE practices within the team and ensure that best practices are sustainably established.
  • You will provide technical leadership, actively promote knowledge transfer, and support the individual development of team members.
  • You will be primarily responsible for the development and operation of highly available, scalable, and efficient systems and infrastructures.
  • You will define and implement strategies to improve the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our digital products.
  • You will drive close collaboration with software development teams and establish a strong DevOps and SRE culture within the company.
  • You will develop and optimize emergency concepts, disaster recovery strategies, and business continuity plans.
  • You will ensure that monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions are implemented at a high level and continuously improved.
  • You will actively drive automation and standardization to reduce manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • You will take ownership of systems without dedicated development teams and ensure their stable operation (including CI/CD, IaC, and on-call duty).
  • You will act as a sparring partner for stakeholders and management on technical and strategic issues related to operations and scaling.

Profile

  • You have a completed technical degree in computer science, engineering, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have several years of in-depth experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure environments and a deep understanding of stable, scalable, and future-proof platforms.
  • You have experience in the technical development of teams, actively sharing knowledge, and sustainably improving quality and collaboration.
  • You are capable of making sound technical decisions and designing viable solutions in the areas of Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud and container platforms, ideally AWS.
  • You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, enabling you to quickly grasp complex contexts and translate them into practical solutions.
  • You think strategically and systemically, consistently aligning your decisions with long-term impact and overall contexts.
  • You communicate confidently at a senior level and provide clarity even on complex technical issues.
  • You have experience moderating demanding decision-making processes and bringing together different interests to achieve viable results.
