Senior Site Superintendent - High-Rise Residential

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Site Superintendent to oversee a major high-rise residential construction project in Kaduna, Kaduna, NG . This is a critical, on-site role requiring a hands-on approach to manage all aspects of daily construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex building projects on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and team coordination. You will be the primary point of contact on the ground, ensuring seamless execution from foundation to completion.

Responsibilities: Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, including managing subcontractors, labor, and material deliveries. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met and proactively addressing any potential delays. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures on the construction site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to blueprints and specifications. Manage project resources efficiently, including equipment, materials, and personnel, to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve site-specific issues and ensure clear communication. Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and safety records. Oversee quality control measures to ensure all work meets or exceeds project standards. Manage site logistics, including temporary facilities, site access, and security. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges on the construction site. Conduct pre-construction meetings and toolbox talks with site personnel. Ensure the site is kept clean, organized, and secure at all times. Liaise with local authorities and inspectors as required. Motivate and lead the site team to achieve project goals. Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction supervision, with a significant focus on large-scale residential or high-rise projects. Demonstrated experience as a Site Superintendent or similar leadership role on complex construction sites. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry (e.g., OSHA compliance). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
