Senior Software Architekt - AI‑Driven DevOps (m/w/d)

About Us

Together with your future team, you will create a company-wide, standardized framework for the pragmatic, secure, and scalable use of Artificial Intelligence in the DevOps lifecycle. The goal is to concretely relieve developers and DevOps teams at DATEV, increase quality, and sustainably integrate AI into tools, processes, and governance.

The core component is the so-called "AI4DevOps Navigator" as part of our DevOps Mainline. It bundles validated AI use cases, standards, best practices, prerequisites, and integration options along the DevOps lifecycle and serves as operational guidance for our teams.

Responsibilities

• You design, implement, and validate integration patterns, automation solutions, and technical reference architectures for the scalable use of AI in the DevOps environment.
• You evaluate AI tools, frameworks, and market standards, derive architectural and technology decisions, and work closely with DevOps teams and governance units.
• You ensure technical quality, security, traceability, maintainability, and seamless integration into existing processes and systems.
• You drive the scaling, rollout, and enablement of teams, further develop best practices and patterns, and actively shape the continuous further development of the mainline.
• You assume overall technical responsibility for AI-supported DevOps use cases and manage their architecture, implementation, and sustainable integration into existing platform and toolchain landscapes.

Qualifications

• You have extensive experience in designing cloud and platform architectures, especially with public cloud offerings such as Azure and AWS.
• You work confidently with agentic frameworks and AI-based automation and have sound knowledge of AI Governance and Policy as Code.
• You conceptualize and establish CI/CD and DevOps architectures and have particular experience with GitHub Actions.
• You possess a solid foundation in AI and Machine Learning fundamentals and are familiar with the Agentic Software Development Lifecycle (Agentic SDLC).
• You have sound experience in the conception and implementation of modern interface architectures – from clean REST API design through implementation and API management to gateways and professional API publishing.
