We are looking for a Senior Software Architect (w/m/d) as soon as possible – optionally at one of our locations (Berlin, Fulda, Heidelberg) or remote.

What awaits you

• Implementation of strategic architectural topics and evaluation of new technologies and frameworks.
• Development of target architectures and standards for custom software, digitalization, operations, and build processes.
• Support of projects in adhering to architectural specifications, including legacy systems.
• Conducting architecture and design reviews as well as evaluating further project artifacts.
• Optimization and standardization of release and deployment processes together with DevOps.
• Promotion of the use and acceptance of existing architectural standards.
• Further development of internal and external teams (knowledge transfer, community management).
• Technology consulting on Java web applications, containers, builds, and microservices.

What you bring

• A successfully completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge of Java backend technologies (Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React).
• Strong know-how in build and deployment systems in the Java web environment.
• Sound knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps models, MultiCloud, and IaC.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Very good understanding of common software architectures (ROCA, Microservices, SCS, Service Mesh).
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture Management (TOGAF, ArchiMate, Lifecycle Management).
• Knowledge of container technology (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Rancher).
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
• Experience in security-critical environments.
• Knowledge of LowCode/NoCode and workflow management systems.
• Fluent German and English skills.
