Responsibilities

As our Senior Software & UX Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Developing and maintaining Angular‑based frontend for complex, security‑oriented applications
  • Taking ownership of usability, interaction flow, and layout for expert users
  • Translating product and technical requirements into clear, usable UI solutions
  • Working closely with backend engineers, product owners, and architects
  • Contributing to frontend architecture, performance, and long‑term maintainability
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and production support

Qualifications

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered
  • 3–6 years of professional experience in frontend software development, with a strong focus on Angular and TypeScript
  • Proven experience designing and implementing usable, maintainable UIs for complex or technical applications (enterprise, security, tooling, or data‑heavy systems)
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture, including component design, state management, performance optimization, and long‑term maintainability
  • Practical UX experience covering interaction design, workflow design, and information architecture, integrated directly into production code
  • Experience working without a dedicated UX team, taking responsibility for UX quality as part of engineering ownership
  • Familiarity with design systems and consistent UI patterns across large applications
  • Experience collaborating closely with backend engineers and product owners to translate technical requirements into effective user interfaces
  • Exposure to usability validation methods (informal user feedback, iteration based on real usage, basic accessibility considerations)
  • Working knowledge of modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑hosted SaaS environments (AWS or equivalent)
  • Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, and best practices
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
