Senior Software Consultant / Lead Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a personality who combines technical excellence with entrepreneurial thinking. As a Senior Software Consultant / Lead Engineer, you will take responsibility for complex software projects – from the initial idea to stable operation. You will act at the interface between business and IT, ensuring that requirements are transformed into functional, scalable solutions.

Your Tasks

• End-to-end responsibility for software projects (concept, implementation, operation)
• Analysis and structuring of requirements together with stakeholders
• Architecture design for scalable, maintainable systems (Cloud, On-Premise, Hybrid)
• Technical conception and selection of suitable technologies
• Hands-on development (e.g., with TypeScript, Java, C# or suitable alternatives)
• Development of operational and deployment concepts (Cloud Native, Serverless, etc.)
• Definition of test strategies and ensuring software quality
• Identification and elimination of technical and organizational obstacles within the team
• Technical leadership within projects (Lead Engineer role)
• Project management and control of complex initiatives
• Support in pre-sales:
  • Creation of solution concepts
  • Contribution to tenders and proposal documents
  • Technical consulting for potential clients
• Communication with clients and stakeholders in German and English

Your Areas of Responsibility

• Overall technical responsibility for projects
• Ensuring the quality, scalability, and maintainability of solutions
• Translation of business requirements into technical solutions
• Responsibility for project success (time, budget, quality)
• Active shaping and further development of architecture standards within the company
• Building and maintaining partner networks
• Promoting knowledge transfer and best practices (e.g., in the area of Enterprise Architecture)

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in software development and technical consulting
• In-depth knowledge of modern software architectures (Cloud, Microservices, Serverless)
• Very good programming skills (e.g., TypeScript, Java, C#)
• Experience in the technical leadership of projects
• Understanding of business contexts and customer requirements
• Experience in pre-sales or proposal preparation is an advantage
• Very good communication skills in German and English

Education & Qualification

• Master's degree in (Business) Informatics or equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS) are an advantage
