Our client is looking for a Senior Software Developer (Python/Django) to join their high-performing team based in Johannesburg North (fully in-office). This role is ideal for a passionate developer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and enjoys building robust, scalable web applications. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing optimisation • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and performance • Ensure code quality through testing, validation, and best practice development standards • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical practices • Work with sensitive data, ensuring security and reliability at all times • Mentor and support team members, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to innovation initiatives

Requirements • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field (or proven experience) • Strong experience developing within a web framework • Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

Beneficial Experience • Python and Django • Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) • Version control (Git) • Numerical libraries (NumPy, Pandas) • Exposure to cybersecurity practices • Experience within financial or data-driven environments
