Job Overview

Diese Position stellt eine zentrale technische Rolle innerhalb der Produktentwicklung dar. Ziel ist es, einen ganzheitlichen Überblick über komplexe Embedded- und Systemthemen zu behalten, robuste und praxisnahe Lösungen zu entwickeln sowie als Integrations- und Schnittstellenfunktion zwischen Software, Hardware, Systemengineering, Projektmanagement und Management zu agieren.

Die Rolle leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Stabilität, Lösungsfähigkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit in kritischen Projektphasen sowie in Eskalationssituationen.

Your Main Responsibilities

Technical Responsibility

• Development of embedded firmware and system software for intelligent electronic components in accordance with ASPICE and MISRA guidelines
• Analysis, definition, and implementation of system, software, and interface requirements across multiple technical levels
• Creation of software and test specifications, and execution of unit and integration tests (C/C++)
• Contribution to architecture and platform decisions (Embedded Systems, AUTOSAR, BSW, CDD)
• Close collaboration with hardware development to coordinate HW/SW interfaces
• Involvement in system-level cybersecurity topics for embedded ECUs, including threat analysis, secure architecture principles, and integration of cybersecurity requirements into system and software concepts (e.g., UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434)

Systemic & Solution-Oriented Work

• Holistic analysis of complex technical and organizational issues
• Development of unconventional and pragmatic solution approaches for new or critical topics
• Ensuring stable and high-quality solutions under demanding conditions (including time and result targets)

Communication & Interface Function

• Translation of complex technical content for non-technical target groups (e.g., project management, management, customers)
• Direct technical coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Active participation in reviews, decision-making processes, and technical escalations

Responsibility & Project Management

• End-to-end responsibility for defined technical topics or sub-projects
• Proactive identification of risks, dependencies, and necessary measures
• Contribution to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards

Your Ideal Profile

Technical Qualification

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Many years (≥7 years) of experience in the development of embedded software / firmware
• Very good knowledge of C/C++, software architecture, and embedded systems
• Experience with ASPICE, MISRA, and configuration and version management
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR (BSW, RTE, SW-C, CDD) and corresponding toolchains (e.g., Vector DaVinci) is advantageous
• Basic to advanced understanding of automotive cybersecurity concepts at system and ECU level and their impact on architecture, requirements, and customer interfaces
• Understanding of basic hardware concepts, ability to read circuit diagrams, and experience with measuring instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
