Senior Software Engineer (2-5+ YOE) - Backend/Full-Stack - Up to $300k base + equity

• A well-funded, late-stage unicorn startup backed by Tier-1 VCs is building next-generation AI systems for the $13 trillion housing industry, which represents a major portion of the U.S. economy.
• The firm just did a massive round of funding and is scaling rapidly across every vertical.
• The Engineering team is solving some of the hardest problems in AI today: agentic workflows and LLM applications across voice, text, and chat; all with an exceptionally lean, research-led approach.

Role Overview

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work on a small team with other top engineers, take on significant ownership, lead projects, and see your ideas come to fruition fast.
• You’ll essentially operate like a small startup within a startup.

Responsibilities

• Identify how the platform can scale and execute on it.
• Build autonomous systems, own features end-to-end, and see real‑world impact from your code.

Requirements

• Exceptional educational background paired with experience in a startup environment.
• Proficiency building production-level code in Python (Java, C#, Go are useful as well).
• Experience at a successfully scaled, AI‑native business would particularly stand out.

Nice to Haves

• AWS experience.
• Understanding of machine learning/data.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary is flexible, generally ranging from $240,000–$300,000 + equity + comprehensive benefits package.

Location

• This is a full-time, onsite position (4‑5 days) in San Francisco.
