We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to partner closely with the CTO/Tech Team in driving the company’s technology vision, execution, and scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned technologist who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and can balance strategic thinking with deep technical execution. The Senior Software Engineer will help translate business strategy into robust, secure, and scalable technology platforms while mentoring engineering leaders and ensuring delivery excellence across teams.

Key Responsibilities TechnologyLeadership & Strategy

Support the CTO/Tech Teamin defining and executing the company’s technology roadmap and architecture Translate product and business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure systems Drive technology decisions that balance speed, quality, cost, and long-term scalability Act as CTO/Tech Teamdelegate when required, including executive and investor interactions.

Engineering Execution:

Oversee day-to-day execution across engineering, infrastructure, and IT operations Ensurehigh availability, performance, and security of platforms and services Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Growth:

Mentor and develop engineering managers, tech leads, and senior engineers Help recruit, onboard, and retain top technical talent Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and technical excellence Promote agile methodologies and data-driven decision-making.

Architecture, Security & Compliance:

Own or co-own system architecture across cloud, application, and data layers Ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory standards Drive DevOps, CI/CD, and automation maturity across teams Partner with Product, Security, and Operations to deliver secure-by-design solutions.

Requirements Preferred (Strong Advantage):

MBA or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Previous experience acting as interimCTO/Tech Teamor technology co-founder. Experience scaling systems from early-stage to millions of users Exposure to SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, or Enterprise IT platforms Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar compliance frameworks.

Mandatory Technical Skills & Experience Core Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and technology leadership 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Director of Engineering, Head of Engineering, VP Eng, or equivalent) Proven experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment Strong system design and architecture expertise for scalable, distributed systems Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams(backend, frontend, cloud, data).

Technical Stack Expectations:

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS / Azure / GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform or similar Backend: Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar enterprise-grade languages Frontend (working knowledge): React, Angular, or Vue Databases: SQL & NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.) Architecture: Microservices, APIs, event-driven systems Security: Authentication/authorization, encryption, secure SDLC practices.

Mandatory Certifications: Candidates must hold at least two of the following (or equivalent):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
