Senior Software Engineer (AI) – Richmond, VA (Hybrid, 50% onsite)

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience building applications using Generative AI and LLMs
• Professional experience with AI and AI‑driven applications
• Strong experience with Python, React, Angular, Azure/Microsoft Cloud services, and OpenAI/Azure OpenAI services (preferred)
• SQL and NoSQL database experience (preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform
• Experience in developing Generative (Gen) AI applications, including RAG architecture and model fine‑tuning; experience with Agentic AI is a plus
• Technical expertise in all aspects of application systems analysis and programming, with proven capability in creating detailed design documents
• Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Visio)

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate Gen AI solutions from a functional, technical, and risk standpoint
• Develop and implement Gen AI solutions to solve complex business problems and enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with other developers
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of AI solutions by following coding best practices and performing thorough testing and validation
• Lead and mentor less experienced programmers on complex projects

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $66.04
