Senior Software Engineer
Connecticut Innovations
About the role
About JONA
Every aspect of our health has been shown to be affected by the gut microbiome. However, the complexity of the gut microbiome and the complexity of microbiome science requires advanced AI technology to truly analyze and harness personal gut microbiome data for health.
At Jona, we envision a world where microbiome testing is more common than bloodwork. Our mission is to create that world by using AI to reveal the relationship between the microbiome and health to guide individuals, clinicians and innovators toward discovery and action.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in building reliable, performant, and scalable systems across our product. You’ll work across the stack—from TypeScript APIs to modern React frontends—helping define architecture, improve developer experience, and drive code quality across the team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to deliver user‑facing features, refine our internal APIs, and evolve our platform architecture as we scale. You will see projects through from conception to production and everything in between.
This is a remote role with the opportunity for monthly meetups with the team in New York City.
