We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support our business objectives. You will provide technical leadership, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

How you create impact

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software applications
• Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and QA teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices where applicable
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and proactively recommend improvements

What we would like you to bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go)
• Solid experience with modern software development frameworks and architectures (e.g. microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems)
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and code review practices
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills in English (Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with AI tools for implementation (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, DeepCode)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
• Exposure to security best practices and performance optimization
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. financial services, logistics, healthcare)
• Prior experience in a technical lead or mentoring role
