We are currently hiring on behalf of a global technology company with over 300 employees, headquartered in Silicon Valley and operating internationally. The business partners with both high-growth startups and leading global organisations to develop next-generation electronic products, particularly in the semiconductor space.

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team working on advanced system-level technologies.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing a modern software platform used to configure and evaluate advanced hardware systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and customer-facing teams, to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

This is a hands-on role combining backend and frontend development, architecture, and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a software platform for system configuration and performance evaluation
• Contribute to both backend and frontend components of the application
• Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, customer-facing teams) to define user workflows
• Ensure integration and interoperability with other internal tools and systems
• Participate in architectural decisions and technical design
• Drive best practices in software development, quality, and scalability

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD)
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong experience with modern software architecture (backend + frontend)
• Solid programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, C++, or Python
• Understanding of web technologies, cloud environments, and scalable systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and fluency in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional languages like Scala, Rust, or Kotlin
• Basic understanding of hardware systems or the semiconductor industry
• Exposure to system modelling or simulation tools
• Interest in complex, high-performance systems

Salary

• €44,000 – €65,000 base salary (depending on experience)
