Tripadvisor is looking for a senior software engineer to join our fast-moving partner products group in the Hotels Product Engineering organization. You will help build, upgrade, and sustain successful products supporting connections between the world's largest travel site and leading travel brands. These web-scale products support travelers with information for their trips and vacations. The ideal candidate has broad web platform skills, confident knowledge of API integration, solid experience coding for scale including AI tools, and a passion for producing high quality code quickly.

Job Location: Remote/Hybrid

This role is a flexible hybrid or remote position. For hybrid roles please note our office is based in Dublin.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop simple solutions for complex product challenges.
• Adapt to complex projects, working closely with cross-functional teams of technical and business stakeholders, delivering quality code on time.
• Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot intricate web-based product features and issues.
• Continually improve efficiency by contributing to team development of automated tools.
• Improve and add to system documentation for customers who interoperate with our products.
• Participate in rotating on-call duty for network connectivity and product support.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with effective debugging of complex systems.
• Proficiency with 5+ years' experience of programming.
• Adept on the Linux platform and its standard utilities.
• Ability to construct complex SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of HTTP and other internet protocols.
• Deep familiarity with the Java programming language.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
