Senior Software Engineer BESS Tech Team

Your Role in the Team

• You advance the operation and commercialization of our large-scale electric battery storage systems.
• You build and extend services in our cloud and for fleets of distributed controllers.
• You enhance reliability, scalability, observability and cost-efficiency of our AWS cloud infrastructure.
• You drive the automation of processes and software for both your developer colleagues and the operations team.
• You continuously improve software development practices, tools, and pipelines, to ensure highest security and quality standards.
• You inspect dashboards and logs to anticipate potential problems in advance.
• You collaborate with our Operations team and other tech teams.
• You embrace the DevOps mindset: you build it, you ship it, you run it!

Our Expectations of You:

Qualifications

• Very strong proficiency in Python.
• You write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Team player but also self-reliant and pro-active.
• Familiar with software engineering best practices and design patterns.
• Passionate about green energy tech.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Preferably solid expertise in other modern languages, e.g., Rust.
• Domain knowledge in BESS operation and energy markets.
• AI as yet another tool in your toolbox.

Experience

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies and/or the ELK stack.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
