For one of our clients in the medical technology and research sector, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (C++/Rust) to contribute to the development and further enhancement of complex Linux-based control and communication systems in a highly complex technical research environment.

The focus is on stable, performant, and traceable systems in a regulated environment – real technical substance.

Your Responsibilities

• Development of software in C++ and Rust for Linux-based systems
• Implementation and support of network communication (TCP/IP) between distributed system components
• Analysis and optimization of performance, latency, and system stability
• System-level debugging (threads, memory, network behavior)
• Integration of software into existing technical system landscapes
• Contribution to modular and robust software architectures
• Collaboration with Embedded Development (FPGA)
• Working according to well-defined development processes in a structured environment

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in software development with C++ and Rust
• Deep understanding of Linux systems
• Experience with network programming (TCP/IP, sockets, etc.)
• Experience with version control (Git) and structured development processes
• Meticulous and structured way of working
• Project language: English

Nice to Have

• Experience in designing scalable and fault-tolerant systems
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker or similar)
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., IEC 62304)
• Interest in complex technical systems and interdisciplinary collaboration

Our Offer

A responsible position with future prospects awaits you. The gross annual salary offered is (at least) € 60,000.00 – an overpayment is possible depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
