Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Solutions Architect

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their elite, fully remote Cloud Solutions team. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications and infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and DevOps practices to architect robust solutions that meet complex business needs. As a remote-first team member, you will collaborate asynchronously and synchronously with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across different time zones, driving innovation and technical excellence. Responsibilities include: Architecting and implementing cloud-native solutions, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Designing and developing microservices using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go). Implementing CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Ensuring security best practices are integrated into all aspects of cloud architecture and development. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development plans. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the team's technical growth and knowledge sharing. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in production environments. Evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools to enhance our cloud capabilities. Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on cloud architecture and DevOps. Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep understanding of their services is required. Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities for remote collaboration, and a proactive, self-driven approach are essential. You must be comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
