Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficient in software development utilizing C++
• Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, building, and deployment
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
• Experience with software integration and testing
• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
• Experience in an Agile development setting (preferred)
• Understanding of containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of shell scripting (preferred)
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, integration, and validation of high-performance tactical software components
• Develop advanced software solutions for next-generation ship prototypes and mission-critical functions
• Facilitate rapid prototyping of new vessel configurations
• Conduct rigorous evaluation of system performance
• Oversee comprehensive verification processes for combat system functionalities
• Collaborate with the team to tackle complex engineering challenges
