Responsibilities
- Overseeing the timely and effective deployment of software into production environments.
- Defining and refining standards for software design and development processes.
- Collaborating with developers, QA, operations, and management to provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle, from analysis to deployment.
- Establishing business and technical requirements while ensuring adherence to standards and facilitating knowledge transfer among development staff.
- Completing technical design, prototyping, software development, and bug resolution.
- Conducting thorough system analysis and engaging in extensive programming activities that necessitate in-depth research.
- Providing ongoing technical support for both new and existing applications from code delivery until retirement.
- Offering project effort estimates and managing budget-level tasks.
- Developing and testing applications based on business needs and industry best practices.
- Creating comprehensive technical documentation in adherence to departmental and corporate standards.
- Defining and documenting standards while collaborating with QA and customer support teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Conducting release validation testing and supporting beta projects.
- Researching and resolving problems with effective solutions.
- Performing unit testing and integration testing to assess functionality.
- Training and mentoring junior engineers to foster growth within the team.
- Identifying and evaluating new technologies and development environments.
- Possibly contributing to product architecture and taking on team lead responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in software engineering or development, particularly with Azure DevOps and within the financial services sector.
- At least six years of experience with .Net, C#, or ASP.NET.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field plus eight years of relevant experience may be accepted.
