Team Overview
The Global Information Security team supports all Disney business segments, including our streaming services like Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and more. We connect viewers with their favorite stories while pushing the boundaries of technology in streaming.
Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain applications that strengthen our cybersecurity operations. This position bridges the gap between security engineering and software development, focusing on automating compliance and enhancing risk visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cybersecurity tools to support compliance and risk management.
- Integrate legacy and cloud‑based systems using APIs and SDKs.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate security configurations.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to data analytics pipelines to improve visibility across environments.
- Develop AI/ML models to enhance automated risk assessment.
- Maintain consistent access and policy enforcement across multiple cloud environments.
- Create and document internal APIs and frameworks.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor engineers and analysts on security best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Familiarity with security tools, DevSecOps, and AI/ML in cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in AWS, Git & GitHub, Linux, SQL, and programming languages such as Python or C#.
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Scala or Golang.
- In‑depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills in distributed systems.
- Effective communication within cross‑functional teams.
- Ownership mindset towards coding practices.
- Relevant security certifications like OSCP or CISSP are a plus.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
