About The Role

You’ll join our Data Platform team, which owns how data is collected, processed, and used across Vibe; from real‑time systems to internal products. This role exists because Vibe’s growth depends on turning massive data flows into reliable, scalable systems. You’ll shape the core data architecture of a fast‑scaling company, work on high‑volume real‑time systems, and own decisions that directly impact product performance.

What You'll Do

• Data platform architecture

  • Design the future‑state architecture for Vibe's data platform across batch and streaming systems.
  • Make trade‑off decisions between scalability, performance, reliability, and cost at petabyte scale.
  • Drive technology evaluations and migrations that unlock new capabilities or reduce complexity.

• Data pipelines & processing

  • Build and operate pipelines that handle billions of real‑time events from our bidding infrastructure.
  • Ensure data freshness and correctness across reporting, analytics, and ML use cases.
  • Optimize processing jobs for both speed and cost across AWS‑native and open‑source tools.

• Cross‑team enablement

  • Work with product, engineering, and data science to understand data access patterns and bottlenecks.
  • Define data models and APIs that make complex datasets simple to consume.
  • Choose the right storage and query layer for each use case — from ClickHouse to Athena to Spark.

• Reliability & cost control

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability across the entire data stack.
  • Identify and eliminate cost inefficiencies in compute, storage, and data transfer.
  • Build controls that prevent pipeline failures from cascading into customer‑facing impact.

What You Need

• Built and operated large‑scale data systems in production.
• Designed data architectures handling high volume and complexity.
• Worked with batch and streaming processing systems.
• Written production code in Python, Go, Rust, or similar.
• Built systems in a cloud‑native environment (AWS or equivalent).

Nice to Haves

• Experience with real‑time systems.
• Experience with ClickHouse, Kafka, Spark, or similar.
• Experience working with product or ML teams.

• Salary: €85,000 – €115,000 (France); compensation elsewhere based on local market levels.
