• About the Team: Join the Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team, a crucial segment of Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization. We are dedicated to creating customer experience platforms that enhance customer service and compliance processes through innovative applications, tools, and services, ensuring faster issue resolutions and improving customer satisfaction.
• Your Role: You will be instrumental in developing applications that empower Coinbase Customer Agents and other users to boost productivity, promote automation, and drive significant results using AI/ML technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive user features utilizing Golang and cloud technologies.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of third‑party tools.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver solutions to complex challenges with product, design, security, data, and engineering teams.
• Enhance Coinbase’s platform and practices by leveraging your technical expertise for efficient improvements.
• Engage in an environment fostering innovation, where your ideas are transformed into actionable solutions.
• Anticipate potential challenges and adapt your strategies proactively to mitigate risks.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders throughout the company.
• Translate complicated technical concepts into accessible insights for non‑technical team members.
• Mentor colleagues in design techniques and coding best practices, including testing and scaling.
• Collaborate with team members across various time zones.

What We Are Looking For

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, specializing in large‑scale systems development using Golang and cloud technologies.
• Experience with integration of third‑party vendors.
• A passion for working on large‑scale, high‑traffic platforms and implementing robust, scalable services.
• Experience in creating and executing technical architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of rate limiters, caching, load balancing, and debugging tools.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, MQ) and proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases; understanding gRPC, GraphQL, and ETL concepts.
• Proficient in Go programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or Ruby.
• Background in SaaS platform development.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $186,065‑$218,900 USD.
• Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility alongside comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
