About the Team

The Enterprise Security Engineering team at Salesforce is on the lookout for a talented software engineer to design and manage our self-service application administration platform (SSAAP). This platform is critical for enabling enterprise customers to onboard their applications securely and meet compliance standards. You'll be part of a team that is dedicated to creating identity and access solutions that securely integrate our IT networks and cloud platforms, ensuring that every Salesforce professional can operate safely across various environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development and a focus on creating modern applications. Your responsibility will include advancing our IAM tools and services with a keen understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity governance technologies.

About the Position

We're looking for a qualified Senior Engineer with strong skills in Go, Java, and Python, and a thorough understanding of contemporary development practices. You should take initiative, solve problems proactively, and be comfortable engaging in research and development. This position demands adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where effective communication and mentorship of junior engineers are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire development lifecycle of IAM solutions, ensuring a smooth user experience through design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with product teams and business stakeholders to align on requirements and deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
• Develop integrated features across back-end, front-end, and AI components to enhance user experience and provide technical support.
• Create and deploy high-quality software leveraging modern engineering practices, making AI integral to your development processes.
• Design intricate systems that harmonize AI agents within human workflows to maximize efficiency and innovation.
• Contribute to the management of the overall system context that governs AI operations, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
• Evaluate code, whether generated by human or AI, for correctness, quality, and performance.
• Assess incoming requests and prioritize enhancements based on user feedback and business needs.
• Produce technical documentation and enabling materials for developers and internal teams.
• Mentorship of junior engineers through knowledge sharing and best practices in modern development and UX.
• Drive innovative solutions within the IAM domain and enhance the overall user experience.

Required Skills/Experience

• 6-8 years of full-stack development experience with proficiency in Go, Java, Python, including API design and cloud services.
• 3-5 years of experience with web-based IAM technologies like SSO/Okta, identity governance, and privileged access management.
• 2-3 years of front-end development experience, preferably with frameworks such as React and Redux Toolkit.
• Background in IAM, Cybersecurity, or compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC 2).
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in JSON, XML, and RESTful practices, especially in AI-driven contexts.
• Experience with secure coding practices and CI/CD workflows using modern tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with great attention to detail.
• A proactive, positive approach and the ability to thrive in agile environments.
• Familiarity using AI development tools and prompt engineering to enhance workflow efficiency.

The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $223,900 annually, with potential variations based on location and qualifications.
