The Federal Civilian business unit supports customers across federal, commercial, and nonprofit sectors, including NASA, GSA, OPM, Library of Congress, HHS, and FDIC. We partner with these agencies to build new capabilities, modernize legacy systems, and establish data as a strategic asset.


Primary Responsibilities

Senior Software Engineer – Front End – Accessibility serves as an experienced individual contributor with opportunities to develop leadership, guidance, and mentoring skills. With minimal oversight, you will support scope, schedule, and delivery requirements, impact long‑term program goals, and contribute to the development strategy.

  • Demonstrates expertise, accountability, and ownership of contributions to an application code base
  • Maintains a high‑level understanding of adjacent technical areas and ecosystems to coordinate integration effectively
  • Diagnoses and resolves issues with owned systems, using incidents as educational opportunities and for system improvements
  • Actively mentors and assists more junior engineers in skill development
  • Effectively communicates technical issues and developments with team members and clients
  • Participates in technical interviews with new candidates
  • Uses strong influential skills to propose and evaluate multiple approaches to technical and process problems
  • May serve as a mentor to individuals within the team
  • May lead small, less critical, or temporary team structures and projects
  • Presents design documents, system diagrams, etc., to clients, stakeholders, partners, and other engineers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrates expert‑level knowledge in at least one technical area (including but not limited to frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering)

Preferred Qualifications

  • WCAG 2.1 AA expertise, screen reader testing, keyboard navigation, color contrast

Compensation

The starting pay range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and responsibility.

Requirements
