Senior Software Engineer, Front End

About the Role

We’re looking for Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join Procore’s Resource Planning Team within the Product & Technology Division. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing features, working on a Typescript & React frontend. A strong foundation in frontend development is crucial.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product and UX teams to spearhead the development of new features and enhance existing ones. You will be a pivotal figure in shaping our team's technical culture, requiring a blend of robust technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.

This position reports to the Engineer Manager and will be based in our Bengalaru office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing legacy codebases.
• Design, develop, and deploy new frontend features.
• Build user-facing frontend features leveraging our internal component library.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Develop and execute comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Take ownership of system stability, including incident response and resolution.
• Identify and implement opportunities to refactor and improve existing code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building sophisticated web applications.
• In-depth understanding of frontend development principles and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Javascript & Typescript
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Highly organized with a proven ability to work autonomously and self-directed.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
