The Role

For our subsidiary, blue zone GmbH, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (human) – Platform & Cross-Functional Services.

As a Senior Software Engineer in this area, you are not assigned to a single product, but develop the technological backbone of our entire organization. You build the cross-functions on which all our products are based and define the standards that make us scalable and secure.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Architecture: You are responsible for the architecture, development, and stable operation of central services (e.g., Auth, Logging, Billing, Provisioning, etc.) used across products.
• Framework Engineering: You create and maintain frameworks/libraries that enable our product teams to develop quickly and consistently.
• Security & Compliance: You take the lead on general security topics and ensure that our platform standards meet the highest requirements.
• ISO 27001… Roadmap: You actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 and translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Operational Excellence: You ensure that the central functions remain highly available and performant through modern support and monitoring.

Your Profile

• Experience: Many years of experience in software development with a strong focus on system architecture and platform design.
• Security Mindset: You have a deep understanding of IT security and ideally already have experience with certifications like ISO 27001.
• Full-Lifecycle Responsibility: You are not only proficient in coding but also comfortable with the operation (DevOps/SRE) and support of your services.
• Abstraction Skills: You can translate complex requirements into generic, reusable frameworks.
• Tech Stack: Confident use of [node.js, Java, UI5, ABAP] as well as experience with cloud infrastructures [Azure, BTP, SAP] and CI/CD pipelines.
