Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain client‑facing REST APIs, ensuring robust functionality and security
• Build backend services and integrations that abstract internal complexities and enhance client experience
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine requirements and improve software quality
• Enable new API features and provide data access to internal teams for product development
• Write and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, and integrations
• Monitor and implement best practices for security, authentication, and data protection
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Expertise with Java and the Spring ecosystem
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs for external clients
• Solid software design and problem‑solving skills
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of modern security practices, authentication/authorization frameworks, and system/API hardening
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, DataDog, Sentry)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, microservices, event‑driven architectures, gRPC, containerization, and MongoDB
