Senior Software Engineer (IBM i)

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting enhancements and new features/functionally for a large-scale, complex ERP application
• Participating in architecture and design discussions, contributing with practical and efficient technical solutions
• Improving the performance, stability, and scalability of IBM i (AS/400, i5/OS, System i, iSeries) applications
• Developing and supporting REST APIs that enable integration with internal/external systems
• Collaborating with business analysts, software engineers, and technical leaders to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business needs
• Supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution as needed
• Creating documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of development best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering
• Hands-on experience with RPG ILE development, SQL, DB2, and IBM i
• Full life cycle development experience – design, development, testing, implementation, support
• Experience designing and developing REST/RESTful APIs with Java
• Experience with JSON, XML, ERP and/or supply chain/distribution systems is preferred
• Experience with IBS, Iptor ASW, DC1 is a plus as well
