Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Collections Squad supporting our client, Fifth Third Bank. This role is hands-on and client-facing. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Implement microservices architecture and best practices
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with proper unit testing
• Collaborate with product managers and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical reviews
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java (Core Java)
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot
• Solid experience with AWS Core Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation)
• Experience building Microservices-based applications
• Fullstack development experience
• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a client-facing environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• AWS certifications
