Your Role

Do you not want to choose between high-code and low-code? You don't have to! At adesso Austria, we believe in "Power Development": The combination of classic Java engineering, the flexibility of Mendix, and the efficiency of Agentic AI. With us, you are the technological backbone for complex enterprise solutions and use low-code as a strategic precision tool.

Responsibilities

• Fullstack Development: You develop sophisticated solutions – from robust Java backends (Spring Boot) to high-performance applications based on Mendix.
• AI Orchestration: You use Agentic AI to radically reduce development effort and control AI agents for code generation and automated testing.
• Architecture & Integration: You design modern system landscapes and are responsible for integration via REST, OData, or messaging services (e.g., Kafka).
• Engineering Quality: You ensure that low-code solutions also meet our high adesso standards (Clean Code, CI/CD pipelines).
• Consulting: You advise our clients on choosing the right technology and accompany them from the first prototype to go-live.

Qualifications

You are a software engineer with passion and eager to redefine the software development life cycle with AI and low-code.

• Computer Science Background: Solid education (HTL/University/FH) and several years of experience in object-oriented software development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Low-Code & Web Tech: Practical experience with Mendix (or the willingness to learn it) and confident handling of JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Angular).
• AI Affinity: You have already experimented with LLMs and are eager to deeply integrate Agentic AI into the development process.
• Analytical Mindset: You understand complex business processes and translate them into clean data models and microflows.
• Language Skills: You communicate confidently in German and English within our interdisciplinary teams.

Salary

The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is € 56,000 gross per year. Your actual salary will be based on your individual qualifications and experience – we offer attractive, market-competitive overpayment.
