Senior Software Engineer (m/w/d)

Role

In this role, you will take responsibility for the conception, development, and maintenance of demanding web applications throughout their entire lifecycle. You will analyze complex requirements, define viable architectures, and implement robust, scalable solutions using modern web technologies. You will be responsible for code quality, performance, and security of your applications, ensuring that established standards, best practices, and clean code principles are adhered to. As an experienced professional, you will play a central role in technical decisions, coach less experienced developers, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and technologies.

With your structured approach and strong solution orientation, you will ensure that web applications are implemented in a stable, user-friendly, and future-proof manner.

Salary

CHF 105'000 per year

Responsibilities

• Develop further with Java, Eclipse RAP/RCP, Hibernate and MariaDB.
• Act as the main point of contact for all technical questions within the team.
• Assist developers through thorough code reviews and ensure architectural guidelines are implemented.
• Diagnose and fix bugs to ensure smooth operation within the support team.
• Develop specifications collaboratively and contribute your ideas.
• Conduct feasibility studies and create realistic effort estimates.
• Introduce new methods and processes to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of workflows.

Qualifications

• You have several years of experience as a Senior Fullstack Developer.
• Your knowledge of Java and relational databases is excellent.
• Thanks to your perseverance, analytical thinking, and efficient work style, you enjoy solving complex problems.
• You consistently deliver high-quality work and maintain an overview even in hectic situations.
• You build the best possible solutions for clients and are not afraid of occasional direct customer contact.
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing are mandatory.
• Knowledge of English, French, or Italian is desirable.
