Senior Software Engineer, Navigation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement 3D motion planning algorithms for real-time locomotion and collision-aware motion execution
• Manage core components of the navigation stack, including local planning maps and terrain models
• Develop and maintain a 3D footstep path planner to enhance locomotion capabilities and reduce navigation cycle times

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in robotics with a focus on real-time navigation and motion planning systems
• Expertise in 3D / volumetric map representations for local path planning and collision avoidance
• Strong knowledge of locomotion-specific path and motion planning algorithms
• Proficiency in modern C++ and experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS / ROS2
• Experience in testing and debugging systems on physical robots and integrating environment data into planners
