About the Teams

The Platform Product Foundations teams are responsible for creating the essential backend services that drive our platform, from Identity to Financial Infrastructure. We design high‑reliability distributed systems that form the backbone of our operations. Every day, our systems manage significant scale across numerous concurrent users and high‑volume transactions while ensuring precision. Whether enhancing global authentication systems or constructing audit‑ready ledgers for intricate money movements, we are dedicated to solving the latency and compliance challenges presented by our rapidly evolving ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop foundational backend systems emphasizing performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead technical directions on complex, collaborative initiatives across multiple teams.
• Establish and refine platform best practices, frameworks, and architectural standards.
• Offer deep technical mentorship, guide design choices, and elevate engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leaders to define the technical roadmap.
• Drive enhancements by integrating AI into engineering and operational workflows.

What We Look For in You

• 8+ years of experience in building and managing large‑scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong expertise in backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) and cloud‑native solutions.
• Demonstrated success in designing highly available, high‑performance systems.
• Capacity to identify potential scaling issues and implement proactive solutions.
• Experience in guiding technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Skill in translating complex technical concepts into understandable, practical solutions.
• Proficiency in responsibly utilizing generative AI tools and maintaining a human‑in‑the‑loop approach to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with financial data, accounting systems, or high‑precision transaction processing.
• Background in authentication systems.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Experience during rapid company growth from startup to mid‑size.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this role ranges from $218,025 to $256,500 USD, depending on your work location. Total compensation may include equity, bonuses, and a range of benefits like medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
