Senior Software Engineer Python & AI

About

Our client, an established company in Winterthur, is looking for an experienced personality in the field of Software Engineering with a focus on Python, GenAI, and Machine Learning. In this role, modern AI/ML applications will be developed and operated in the cloud, technical solutions will be actively co-designed, and the further development of data-driven products with sustainable business added value will be driven forward.

Responsibilities

• Development, optimization, and operation of GenAI/ML applications implemented in Python in the Google Cloud with the goal of efficient resource utilization and sustainable business added value
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality, maintainability, and consistency within the entire codebase
• Active knowledge transfer within the team and support of stakeholders; proactive participation in the solution design of modern applications
• Close collaboration with stakeholders and users to analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementations

Profile

• At least 8 years of experience in software development with a focus on Python-based applications
• Sound understanding of software development principles, clean code, and software architecture
• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Practical experience in the field of (Gen-)AI and Machine Learning as well as in the development, deployment, and operation of corresponding applications
• Ability and motivation to familiarize yourself with business processes, proactively contribute ideas, and identify optimal technical solutions
• Strong interest in iterative development, continuous testing with users, and active co-design of solutions
• Very good German and English skills (at least level B2)
