Software Engineer (m/w/d) with focus on Python

Our cloud-based data platform supports our high-performance trading systems, which are used in over 30 markets worldwide. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on Python, who shares our vision of innovative software development and contributes significantly to the further development of the technologies we use.

Your Tasks

• Development: Design our global in-house production system with a focus on developing our cloud-based data platform (Python, AWS, PostgreSQL).
• Feature Implementation: Implement central features of our trading system and develop a high-performance, machine-learning-capable analysis platform together with our analysts.
• Software Testing: Implement and test new software products and components with modern technologies and an efficient product pipeline to achieve our goal of a highly interconnected system.
• Direct Feedback: Experience the results of your commitment immediately through direct feedback on the success of a new feature within a few days in our dynamic industry.
• Innovation Promotion: Be part of our vision: Your ideas and impulses drive our technologies and our philosophy of innovative software development (TechTalks, Meetups, Conferences).

Your Profile

• Education: Successfully completed studies with a relevant focus, e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
• Professional Experience: Several years of experience in Python development (e.g., using Pandas, AsyncIO) and with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Curiosity and Initiative: Curiosity and interest in new technological trends (e.g., Cloud, Machine Learning, Platform Engineering); proactive approach to topics, utilizing creative freedom and accompanying them to successful completion.
• Software Design: Sound knowledge in the design of productive software (e.g., use of software patterns, unit/functional tests in CI/CD environment, documentation, requirements engineering).
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge in development in a Linux environment (including Git, GitLab, and Atlassian Jira) as well as in a cloud environment (ideally AWS).
• Project Management: Ideally, initial experience in (partial) project management.
• Language Skills: Very good English skills and basic German skills in speaking and writing.
