Software Engineer

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who operates confidently in large-scale Kubernetes environments, actively shapes complex software and platform architectures, and brings both strong hands-on expertise in Python and/or Go as well as a high level of ownership and quality mindset, in order to further develop and reliably operate global Kubernetes infrastructures through automation, API design, and robust software solutions.

Your tasks:

• Coding including contributions to open source software that we use or maintain
• Writing and implementing design documents (RFCs)
• Documenting your creations, as well as ensuring great automated test coverage
• Serving as a role model - and helping the team to follow software engineering best-practices

Your Profile:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in large-scale or high-growth environments
• Highly motivated Software Engineer with ownership mindset
• Strong background in scalable systems and modern engineering practices
• Recent hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
• Business domain: compute infrastructure & platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes (usage, concepts, and operations)
• Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in test automation, ideally with pytest
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to take responsibility
• English fluent

Nice to haves:

• Interest in or experience with tools such as HashiCorp Vault, FluxCD, Kustomize, Terraform, Grafana, GitLab, Slack, and Linear
